Tramway Finds a Hunting Hole

Jonathan and Brenda Williams plan to open Hunting Hole, a one-stop hunting and archery supply shop, on Saturday, September 8. The store, which Brenda calls a "guys' toy store," is located at 1907 Keller Andrews Road next to Head-to-Toe Salon off Jefferson Davis Highway. It will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Hunting Hole will offer guns from Browning, Remington, Weatherby, Marlin, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, Glock, Bersa and Springfield Armory, as well as special orders, and bows from Fred Bear, Diamond, PSE, Reflex and Martin, apparel from Mossey Oak and La Crosse hunting boots. The store will also carry a full line of ammunition, accessories and archery supplies. Contact the store at (919) 776-0940.

SBC Note: Jonathan and his wife Brenda worked very hard to start their business dream in Sanford, NC. They opened their business in September, 2007 and after almost a year are still seeking their first breakeven month. For now that is OK however because they visited the SBC to obtain assistance determining how much they needed and from whom they would borrow before ever opening their doors. After learning more about a business plan and armed with techniques and cash flow modeling tools furnished by central Carolina Community College's Small Business Center Jonathan and Brenda were able to run their business on computer and forecast loan, equity and other assets needed to start their business and run at least two years, if necessary, before breaking even.
When asked for his thoughts, he will only say "We are glad we planned - there is no way we would have lasted without doing so; every business needs to plan in detail before they start!!"
